The project involved the completion and expansion of an existing rustic annex. Without upsetting what had already been built, we wanted to define the extension with a brick cladding. To enjoy large openings despite the compositional constraints dictated by the regulations, we took inspiration from the grills of the barns present in that area. The brick grid system has a sunshade function for the summer sun and instead in winter the sun's rays enter and contribute to heating the house. Even for the interiors we approached the typical materials of country houses and therefore we opted for a terracotta floor for the ground floor and wood for the first floor. On the ground floor, in the entrance, there is a fireplace integrated with the staircase leading to the mezzanine.
